Helping Hands Update
In May we welcomed nearly 80 charter members of Helping Hands to the SVC circle.  Celebrating their financial contributions made over the last year, we recognized charter members with a handmade stone imprinted with the SVC logo and the date.  These commemorative stones, made by SVC volunteers one day at the Northern Clay Center, are intended to be a reminder of the contributors' financial support for SVC.  Special thanks to the Northern Clay Center for donating the clay and firing of these stones, and for their assistance in designing this project. 

Our hope is that Helping Hand members will continue their financial support to SVC over the years, collecting a new stone for every year of membership.  Once a Helping Hands member reaches total contributions of $500, whether that is in one year or over many years, he or she will receive a collection bowl made by a local artist to hold the Helping Hands commemorative stones.

What is Helping Hands?
To assure the work of this vital community agency continues, and to gather people committed to helping those who have suffered sexual violence, and to do all that's possible to prevent such violence in our society, the Board of Directors has established the Helping Hands network. 

Helping Hands is an informal association of people who provide leadership financial support.  Helping Hands gifts, as part of the Annual Fund, are used to provide for the day-to-day operations and to fully fund the Sexual Violence entire programs and services.

Membership in Helping Hands begins with an annual gift of $100 throughout a calendar year.  Other membership levels of $250, $500, $750 and $1,000 or more are available for those whishing and able to provide greater support.  Gifts can be given monthly, quarterly or annually.

You may honor a friend or loved one with an Honorary Membership in Helping Hands.  Memorial Memberships are also available. 

As a member of Helping Hands you will receive a special memento of membership, be listed in Helpings Hands' honor roll, and be invited to the annual get-together for members.  Above all, as a member you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping strengthen an organization that comforts people when they are hurting, gives practical advice, builds hope and encourages self-confidence.
