#MeetTheTeamTuesday: Emma Cover-Carper

There has been a lot of growth at the Sexual Violence Center over the last year! It’s time to formally introduce our team.
Join us over the next few weeks as we highlight each staff member. #MeetTheTeamTuesday

First, let’s meet Emma. Emma is our Development Associate, which is a brand-new position at SVC!

What keeps you invested in this work?
I love thrifting, so I enjoy visiting all of the many vintage and thrift stores in the Twin Cities. I’d like to say I’m pretty good at finding deals or items for a good price. However, I enjoy just having things to do in the Twin Cities in general because where I moved from in Iowa there were very few things to do!nt to me and close to my heart, so knowing that I am making an impact on victims/survivors keeps me fully invested in my job and ready to conquer every task that comes my way.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
My role as the Development Associate allows me to use creativity to help SVC. I really enjoy being able to explore my creative side to create compelling grants, social media posts, newsletters, and more. I love being able to combine creativity and advocacy!
