Sexual Violence Center advocates are experienced community educators, developing custom training for nonprofit, public, and private businesses on topics including:

  • Sexual violence
  • Manifestations of sexual violence in our community
  • Sexual harassment
  • Consent
  • Healthy sexuality
  • Impacts of sexual violence on survivors
  • Oppression and its relationship to sexual violence

Youth Education

REAL TALK is Sexual Violence Center’s series of interactive presentations for middle school, high school, and college students ages 12-22. These presentations are designed to empower young people with the knowledge and skills they need to engage in healthy relationships and create safer communities.

Community Education

Sexual Violence Center offers educational presentations to the broader community through conferences, resource fairs, and public events.

Professional Training

Sexual Violence Center provides training on sexual violence to professionals in medical, legal, educational, human service, law enforcement, and correctional facilities. Our training can enhance your organization’s understanding of trauma-informed care and improve the quality of services you provide to victim survivors.

Training for Volunteer Sexual Advocates

Three times a year, we offer a 40+ hour training that prepares volunteer advocates to provide direct service support to victim survivors of sexual violence in accordance with Minnesota State Statute §595.02(k). Learn more about training for volunteers.
